Eyal Klang, MD

About Me

Eyal Klang, MD, serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Generative AI Research Program within the Division of Data-Driven and Digital Medicine (D3M) at Mount Sinai. Previously, he was an attending abdominal radiologist at Sheba Medical Center and led the artificial intelligence (AI) hub at Sheba's ARC Innovation Center. His roles as an Associate Professor of Radiology at Tel Aviv University and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Radiology at Mount Sinai underscore his dedication to education and research. In 2024, Dr. Klang transitioned to Mount Sinai full-time, bringing extensive expertise in clinical medicine and AI from his previous positions.


In addition to his academic and research responsibilities, Dr. Klang contributes to operationalizing and deploying AI technology within the Mount Sinai health system. Under the guidance of Robert Freeman and Girish Nadkarni, Dr. Klang focuses on integrating advanced AI models to enhance patient care and clinical workflows. This work aims to set new standards for the application of generative AI in healthcare.


Dr. Klang’s research contributions, focusing on AI and generative AI as well as a wide range of clinical topics, reflect his diverse research expertise. With over 180 publications, his work has significantly impacted multiple areas of medical research.
