About Me
Fiorina Kyritsi, MD, is an instructor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and practices internal medicine at Mount Sinai Doctors Queens. A native of Volos, Greece, Dr. Kyritsi received her medical degree from the University of Thessaly. She was valedictorian of her medical school class and went on to do a year of research at the university’s pediatric laboratory. When her mother was diagnosed with a heart condition and sought treatment in the United States, Dr. Kyritsi was impressed by the state-of-the-art medical practice, professionalism and compassion of the doctors she encountered here. Inspired to apply for medical residency in the U.S., she spent a year doing cardiac research at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, D.C. before completing a residency in internal medicine at George Washington University and trained in hematology and oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Kyritsi treats patients with a wide range of medical conditions, providing personalized primary care services with an emphasis on preventative medicine and general wellness. In addition to providing supportive care, Dr. Kyritsi also promotes cancer survivorship by helping patients adjust to life after treatment and coordinating follow-up medical care. She values forming long-term relationships with patients and helping them to live longer and healthier lives.
