About Me
Dr. DiSpaltro is experienced in many areas of medical as well as cosmetic dermatology and offers his patients a wide range of treatments. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Binghamton University and pursued his medical degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Dr. DiSpaltro went on to complete a sub-internship as well as an internship in general surgery at Downstate Medical Center. He joined the United States Army Medical Corps where he was a Captain and served as the Chief of the clinic at The Kimbrough Army Hospital in Maryland. Upon completion of his duties in the military, Dr. DiSpaltro furthered his education through an internal medicine residency at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. He practiced Emergency Medicine for several years while pursuing research in immunology as well as in clinical trials at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York where he worked with world renowned dermatologists. He has published many articles in peer reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and has given presentations at the national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology. In 1999 Dr. DiSpaltro went on to further his studies by returning to a residency in dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York where he completed his training. He joined Advanced Dermatology shortly after to offer his expertise in medical as well as state-of the-art cosmetic procedures. His creative spirit and his attention to detail make him particularly suited to the cosmetic aspect of dermatology.
