About Me
Dr. Gabrielle Block joined Mount Sinai Doctors in 2024 as a General Pediatrician and Certified Lactation Counselor. After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Block earned her medical degree with distinction in medical research from New York Medical College where she was also inducted into the AOA Honor Society. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai where her research focused on a quality improvement initiative to strengthen and enhance developmental screening in the primary care setting. Dr. Block is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice, and her clinical interests include general pediatrics, preventive medicine, and breastfeeding support.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Block is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she works with pediatric residents and medical students in training. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Block has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
