About Me
Dr. Gwertzman attended medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and then trained in General Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. He completed his Vascular Fellowship at UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School after which he joined the faculty at NY Presbyterian Hospital Cornell Medical Center. He went on to become full-time faculty at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, and was on the original vascular surgery team at this location. Since that time our service has expanded to include a fully accredited Vascular Laboratory, and a minimally invasive vein center.
Dr. Gwertzman was named a Castle Connolly "Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area" in 2019 and 2020.
