About Me
Dr. Gary Slater received his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. He earned his M.D. degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Slater trained in general surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, during which time he was a trainee at the National Institute of Medical Sciences.
Currently, Dr. Slater is Professor of Surgery and Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He has an active general surgery practice and his academic interests are gastrointestinal tract surgery, colorectal surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, and hernia surgery.
