About Me

Dr. Genevieve Izzo is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and is an Attending Psychologist at the Child and Family Institute at Mount Sinai Morningside. She is the Director of the Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program at Mount Sinai Morningside, and is involved in clinical training, teaching, and supervision. Dr. Izzo received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University. 

Dr. Izzo specializes in cognitive and behavioral treatments for mood disorders, anxiety and related disorders, and emotional disorders. She uses traditional cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as mindfulness-based approaches, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to best serve those with whom she works. Dr. Izzo works with youth and adults in her faculty practice.
