Genevieve Yang, MD

About Me

Dr. Genevieve Yang earned her B.A. in Biology with minor in Mathematics from Columbia University, and her M.D./Ph.D. from Yale. Mentored by John Krystal and Alan Anticevic at Yale, Dr. Yang's doctoral work in computational neuroscience and functional magnetic resonance neuroimaging biomarkers in schizophrenia patients was supported by an individual NIH National Research Service Award. Her research has been recognized by awards from Society of Biological Psychiatry, Society for Neuroscience, Cosyne, the Schizophrenia International Research Society, and by the Selma and Karl Folkers Prize in Biomedical Research at Yale. She was one of 12 psychiatry residents nationally to receive the NIMH Outstanding Resident Award in 2020. Currently, she specializes in working with patients who have experienced trauma and is a board member of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society, which aims to provide a support structure for group therapy and community leaders through education and outreach.

The state of Florida requires out-of-state professionals who are registered to provide telehealth services to display a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health telehealth web page. This allows Florida patients who are receiving medical care by telehealth to confirm the provider’s licensure and Florida registration.
