About Me
Dr. Geoffrey Jara-Almonte is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at New York City Health and Hospitals Elmhurst Hospital Center and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. His academic focus is medical education with particular focus on resident mentorship, feedback, assessment and curricular design. As APD he oversees didactics for the emergency medicine residency and the intern coaching program. Dr. Jara-Almonte is active in organization and planning of local and regional emergency medicine educational events including the All NYC EM conference series, course director for the All NYC EM Faculty Development course, and the New York ACEP Scientific Assembly.
