About Me
Dr. Georgios Syros has practiced Cardiology since 2015. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Athens Medical School in Greece, Dr. Syros completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center. He then moved to St. Elizabeth's Hospital of Boston for his Cardiology fellowship before returning to Mount Sinai for a second fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at The Icahn School of Medicine. With his board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography, Dr. Syros specializes in treating arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia. Additionally, Dr. Syros is multilingual and can communicate with patients in English, Greek, and Spanish.
In conjunction with his clinical role, Dr. Syros serves as Director of Arrhythmia Services at Mount Sinai Queens. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the Hellenic Medical Society of NY. Dr. Syros is also an author on several publications on heart disease and, during his training, was a research scholar at Columbia University in the Department of Cardiology.
Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Syros enjoys swimming, working out in the gym, and biking everywhere in NYC (including Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan!). When speaking on his advice to patients, Dr. Syros says, "I would encourage all patients to be as active as possible, unless contraindicated."

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.

Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Syros has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
