About Me

Hayley Strasburger is a current Ph.D. candidate in the Neurobiology multidisciplinary training area at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Hayley is a member of Dr. Anne Schaefer's lab, studying neuro-immune interactions in the brain. Hayley's research focus is how microglia, the tissue-resident macrophages of the brain, communicate with neurons to maintain brain health.
Hayley graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience.
