Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Dr. Shahab was friendly, courteous and professional. She explained everything in a way that I understand, being that I don't have a medical background that is very important to me. She treated me as if I was her most important patient, but I think she treats all her patients that way. I would very highly recommend her to friends and family.
[...] I've already recommended this cardiologist to several friends. I was very Impressed by her patience and fund of knowledge.
She is flexible to the point that she gave me permission to record her words when discussing medical test results and treatment options so I could listen again later.
