About Me
Ilan Timor-Tritsch, MD, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist at The Mount Sinai Hospital in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Timor-Tritsch has special interest in gynecologic ultrasound, first-trimester ultrasound, and cesarean pregnancy.
Dr. Timor-Tritsch joined Mount Sinai after serving as Director of the Ultrasound Unit for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel and his fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Timor-Tritsch has been published extensively on topics such as transvaginal sonographic evaluation of the fetal central nervous system, cesarean pregnancy, and gynecologic ultrasound. He is the recipient of the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine’s Joseph H. Holmes Clinical Pioneer Award, the Fry Award by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Ian Donald Medal by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Timor-Tritsch has taught residents and doctors for more than 20 years, presenting at various seminars for the Annual Meeting for the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Dr. Timor-Tritsch is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the New York Perinatal Society.
