Israel N. Kochin M.D. received his specialty training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Prior to this fellowship training in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Mount Sinai, he completed an internship and residency in pediatrics after graduating from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Kochin is an author of several recent articles in G.I. diseases published in leading medical journals. His pre-medical studies were at Columbia and he received a B.A. cum Laude in Economics in 1995. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics [F.A.A.P.] in 2002. Dr. Kochin is a specialist in gastrointestinal illnesses with a strong interest in how immunological factors, including allergic and nutritional choices, affect children's GI system causing symptoms including abdominal pain, nausea, and constipation.
