Isaac Namdar, MD
Head and Neck Surgery
About Me
Dr. Isaac Namdar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Mount Sinai West Hospital, where he has practiced ever since the year 2000. Prior to joining the Mount Sinai Health System, he was a Managing Partner at Head & Neck Surgical Group, and the Division Chairman at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he graduated Valedictorian of his graduating class. Through Stony Brook’s early acceptance program he secured a spot in their medical school after his sophomore year and he graduated medical school with honors. Dr. Namdar then did his surgical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, and continued to his residency in Otolaryngology at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, with rotations at New York Cornell Hospital, Memorial Sloane-Kettering Hospital, and Lenox Hill. Due to merger of hospitals, Dr. Namdar received his residency certificate from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He has been in practice since then with significant focus on clinical care and teaching.
Dr. Namdar spends the greatest part of his practice on management of sinus disease, allergies, pediatric ENT, hearing loss and balance issues, and vocal dysfunction. He has also undertaken additional training in medical acupuncture and can offer this modality as an added option in many conditions often treated in his practice.
Dr. Namdar is a founding member of Manhattan Surgery Center, advocating for streamlined surgical access using state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques and rapid patient recovery methods. Dr. Namdar maintains a robust blog site about ENT disorders, aimed at educating patients. This blog site can be found at: https://www.newyorkentspecialist.com/blog/ and his website is located at www.namdarmd.com.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.

Likelihood to Recommend Care Provider
Dr. Namdar is the best ENT I've ever had in NYC and San Francisco! Outstanding in every way.
I have seen Dr. Namdar annually for my ear cleaning for the past several years. Always welcoming, professional, and reassuring.
It was a routine visit, no issues.
Industry Relationships

In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Namdar has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
