About Me
Jacob K. Goertz, MD RDMS FACEP is an Attending Physician and the Director of Emergency Ultrasound at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, a position he has held since 2013. Dr. Goertz received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine, completed his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, his residency in Emergency Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and an emergency ultrasound fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. Prior to joining the faculty at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, he was an Attending Physician and the Director of Emergency Ultrasound at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Goertz has published clinical research using bedside ultrasound in the evaluation of kidney stones, has lectured on emergency ultrasound, and has received recognition for his clinical teaching.
