About Me

Dr. James Cornwall is an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.

Dr. Cornwall earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS) in 2015 with a Distinction in Research. He continued his training at Mount Sinai and graduated from the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program in 2020. Before attending medical school, he graduated Cum Laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Economics and taught high school science in the Bronx with Teach for America.

Dr. Cornwall was the 2015 winner of The Eugene W. Friedman, M.D. Prize for Clinical Excellence in Surgery, given by the ISMMS. He has authored or co-authored multiple published manuscripts and has presented his research at many major conferences.
