About Me
Dr. Janet Abrams has been in practice as a Gynecologist since 2006. After graduating with high honors from First Tashkent State Medical School in Uzbekistan, Dr. Abrams remained in Tashkent to complete her OB/GYN internship and residency at the same institution. She then went on to complete a second OB/GYN residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine/Flushing Hospital Medical Center, where she was named Chief Resident during her final year. As a physician certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Abrams specializes in a wide range of gynecologic-related problems. Additionally, Dr. Abrams can communicate with patients in both English and Russian.
Beyond her clinical time, Dr. Abrams has spent over a decade in academia as a GYN Clinical Instructor at NYU Langone Medical Center. She also holds fellowship status in the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
When practicing medicine, Dr. Abrams highlights the importance of the doctor-patient relationship and explains her best patient advice as understanding and engaging in preventative medicine. In her free time, Dr. Abrams enjoys reading and traveling.
