About Me

Jasmin Harpe, MD, MPH is a board-certified Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. Dr. Harpe has a clinical practice at Faculty Practice Associates at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai West. She treats numerous headache disorders with a special clinical focus on women’s health and migraine, headache treatment prior to conception, during pregnancy, lactation, and the post-partum period. She also sees patients with migraine undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) and assisted reproductive technology (ART).  She obtained a master’s in public health (MPH) and is focused on reducing health disparities and increasing access to comprehensive headache care and treatment for all of her patients. She provides evidence-based and comprehensive headache education that not only focuses on pharmacologic treatment for headache disorders, but also alternative strategies and options.

Dr. Harpe completed her medical school and neurology residency training at NewYork- Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine after which she completed a fellowship in Headache Medicine at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital. She is proficient in procedures such as the administration of botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine, nerve blocks, sphenopalatine ganglion blocks, and trigger point injections. She is invested in providing compassionate and culturally competent, quality care for patients of all backgrounds.

Dr. Harpe is involved in the education of medical students,  residents, and fellows across various disciplines at Mount Sinai. She is actively conducting clinical research aimed at better understanding migraine during pregnancy and assisted reproductive technology (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). She has presented at several national society meetings including the Headache Cooperative of New England (HCNE) and the American Headache Society. She has published scholarly articles and book chapters. She is an active member of the American Headache Society, American Academy of Neurology, and American Neurological Association.

Dr. Harpe sees patients at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai West. She offers telemedicine services when appropriate.
