About Me
Jason A. Staal, PsyD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University Hospital and Manhattan Campus, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a supervising psychologist. Dr. Staal's research is based on the integration of the theory and practice of behaviorism and multi-sensory environments. His inpatient research focuses has been the use of multi-sensory environments with elders with dementia. Dr. Staal has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, lectured in the United States, The Netherlands, England, and Canada, and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows and in the New York Times. He writes, teaches behavioral psychotherapy, and is in private practice in New York City at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
