About Me
Dr. Shimiaie is an assistant clinical professor at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is the former medical director of the partial hospital program and remains on staff consulting in the emergency room setting and supervising residents in training. He is currently in private practice in New York City.
Dr. Shimiaie particiapted in the Internal Medicine residency program and the Psychiatry residency program at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He graduated medical school at the Sackler School of Medicine where he researched and published in the fields of Cardiology and Urology. Dr. Shimiaie received his undergraduate education at Emory University where he majored in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology; there he spent time researching the neurological basis of memory formation.
