About Me
Jason Kanos, MD, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kanos also serves as Vice Chairman for Quality and Patient Safety and is Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside. He has been with Mount Sinai since 2000 and previously served as Medical Director of Labor and Delivery at Mount Sinai West.
While his practice spans all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, he has a special interest in gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
Prior to Mount Sinai, Dr. Kanos served on the attending staff of the New York Medical Group, and also on that of the Staten Island Medical Group. He attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas as an undergraduate and obtained his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Kanos is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
