About Me

Dr. Jason S. Pruzansky, M.D. is a hand surgeon with clinical expertise in hand, wrist, forearm and elbow surgery.  He has been recognized by SuperDoctors as a 2016 New York Rising Star.  His practice focuses on the treatment of fractures, complex wrist ligament injuries, and arthritis, as well as the microsurgical repair of nerve and tendon injuries.  He utilizes minimally invasive techniques, including arthroscopically-assisted fracture and ligament surgery and endoscopic carpal tunnel release. 

Dr. Pruzansky is dedicated to the integration of digital technology and orthopaedic outcomes measures to optimize non-surgical and surgical treatment regiments, as well as evidence based medicine for best practices.

Dr. Pruzansky received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University, and his medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  Dr. Pruzansky completed his subspecialty fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University at Buffalo, noted for traumatology, reconstructive and microsurgery.  Working as a research fellow at the Philadelphia Hand Center, he analyzed the use of surgical antibiotic prophylaxis and new minimally invasive surgical techniques for the treatment of arthritis of the hand and wrist. 

 Dr. Pruzansky earned the Excellence in Patient Care Award at Mount Sinai Hospital.  When he was a chief resident he received the Academic Achievement Award for scoring in the 100th percentile among all orthopaedic surgery residents nationally. 

 Dr. Pruzansky's research has been published in numerous journals and he has presented at national conferences.  He is an active member of the AOA Emerging Leaders Program and a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
