Jay Dave, DO is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of complex headache disorders.
Dr. Dave earned a dual undergraduate degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience and Psychology from Rutgers University and received his medical degree from Rowan University. He completed his neurology residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, followed by a UCNS-accredited fellowship in Headache Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Board certified in Neurology, Dr. Dave treats a broad spectrum of primary and secondary headache disorders, with a particular focus on chronic migraine. His clinical interests lie in combining personalized medicine and technology-driven care to improve outcomes for patients with difficult-to-treat headaches.
An active researcher, Dr. Dave has published work applying artificial intelligence and natural language processing to detect and counteract health misinformation in headache medicine. He is also building a comprehensive headache question bank to aid trainee education, with future plans to integrate AI into personalized treatment pathways.
