Dr. Jaya Ganesh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her clinical and research interests are metabolic diseases including Lysosomal Storage Diseases and Mitochondrial diseases. She is the Co-Director of the Lysosomal Diseases Program and the Mitochondrial Center. She is the Principal Investigator of multiple interventional and natural history studies aimed at improving the understanding and management of rare diseases and advancing the development of novel therapies. She is actively involved in medical student education and in the training of medical residents, fellows and genetic counselors.
