Jennifer Blaze, PhD

About Me

Dr. Blaze received her PhD from University of Delaware in 2016 under the mentorship of Dr. Tania Roth.  Her research in the Roth lab focused on the effects of early-life stress  on epigenetic modifications in brain.  She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai under the guidance of Dr. Fatemeh Haghighi and Dr. Schahram Akbarian.  During this time, Dr. Blaze received a postdoctoral fellowship (F32) from NIMH for her studies on novel epitranscriptomic modifications to tRNAs in brain.

Currently, Dr. Blaze is conducting translational studies to identify the role of the dynamic tRNA landscape in shaping brain function and behavior that could contribute to neuropsychiatric disease.
