About Me
Dr. Jennifer Casher Lehman is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Lehman is a double board certified breast oncologic surgeon, specializing in benign and malignant breast disease, preventative surgery/BRCA, and oncoplastic approaches to breast surgery. Having completed specialized fellowship training in breast surgery, she has treated thousands of women - and men - with benign and malignant diseases of the breast and an increased risk for breast cancer.
Dr. Lehman received her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine after which she completed a general surgery residency at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital. During her residency research year, she completed fellowship training in surgical critical care at the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, FL. Following surgical residency, she completed specialized fellowship training in breast surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to joining Mount Sinai, she was a faculty member of Lenox Hill Hospital of the Northwell Health System.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Lehman has co-authored more than 17 research presentations, abstracts, and publications. She serves on the Membership Committee for the American Society for Breast Surgery; she is an active member of the NY Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group and the Society for Surgical Oncology, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
