Jennifer Kangas, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Newborn Medicine in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Bucknell University and her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and was the recipient of the Donald and Irwin Gribetz Award for Excellence in Primary Care at the end of her training. After completing her residency, Dr. Kangas joined the General Pediatric Faculty Practice at Mount Sinai. In 2013, she joined Columbia Midtown Pediatrics. Dr. Kangas is a board-certified pediatrician and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and an Attending in the Newborn Nursery at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Kangas lives with her husband and two children on the Upper West Side. Her current clinical focus and area of interest is Newborn Medicine.
