About Me
Dr. Finkel is dually appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is board certified in General Adult Psychiatry and Psychiatry of the Medically Ill. After completing her residency at Bellevue/NYU, Dr. Finkel did a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine with a focus on multiple sclerosis. In addition to running the clinical aspects of the psychiatry consultation liaison service in the general medical hospital, Dr. Finkel serves as the primary psychiatric consultant to Mount Sinai's renowned Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis. Her areas of interest include: multiple sclerosis, neurologic illness, chronic medical illness, psychopharmacology, psychological reaction to illness, and bioethics.
