About Me
Dr. Jeranil Nunez graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2004. She completed a Pediatrics residency at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in NY in 2007, and a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in California in 2010. Prior to joining the Emergency Medicine faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Nunez held faculty positions at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Medical Center in both the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Her current interests include medical education, hospital operations, and community outreach. Dr. Nunez has contributed to several peer reviewed publications on pediatric asthma and dehydration and has authored numerous chapters on pediatric emergency medicine topics (see publications). Dr. Nunez currently holds the title of Assistant Medical Director of the Pediatric Emergency Department at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Site Director for Pediatric Emergency Medicine Education.
