About Me
Dr. Jesse Weinberger is Director of the Neurovascular Laboratory, which is certified by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) for non-invasive extracranial and intracranial vascular testing. He is Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Weinberger received a BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his MD from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Bellevue Hospital and a residency in neurology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. He then was a research associate at the Cerebrovascular Research Center, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Dr. Weinberger has published extensively on stroke in peer-reviewed journals. His research has been supported by numerous NIH grants, including the current FREEDOM study. He was the keynote speaker on Mechanisms of Carotid Stroke at the Global Neurologists Meeting in Vienna in 2016.
He performs carotid duplex and other ultrasound procedures. Dr. Weinberger offers telemedicine appointments when appropriate. Please call his office to schedule a video visit.
