About Me
Jessica Reid-Adam, MD, is a Professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology and Hypertension and Professor of Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She serves as Associate Director for Strategic Community Engagement in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics. She is the Senior Associate Dean for Opportunity and Engagement in Graduate Medical Education (GME) and the Pediatric Residency Program Director. In addition, she is also part of the Pediatric Liver Metabolic Transplant Program, a multidisciplinary group including specialists from Medical Genetics and Genomics, the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute (RMTI), and the Divisions of Pediatric Hepatology and Pediatric Nephrology, which treats pediatric patients with inherited metabolic disorders. Dr. Reid-Adam is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology.
Dr. Reid-Adam is a graduate of Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School and completed her Pediatric residency training as well as a clinical and research fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where her research interests focused on transplant immunology. In addition to treating patients with renal disease and hypertension, and her involvement in the medical school, Dr. Reid-Adam serves as a trainer in Unconscious Bias for the Mount Sinai Health System.
Dr. Reid-Adam serves as an editorial board member on the Education Committee of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology and also serves as an Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai representative for the AAMC Council of Faculty and Academic Societies. In addition, Dr. Reid-Adam has been a member of the Association of Pediatric Program Directors since 2019, collaborating with medical education leaders across the country.
