Ji Yeoun Yoo, MD
Neurology
About Me
Ji Yeoun (Jenna) Yoo, MD is a Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed her neurology residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital and a two-year epilepsy/EEG fellowship at Yale University.
Dr. Yoo cares for patients aged 12 and older with seizures and epilepsy, including those with difficult-to-control (drug-resistant) epilepsy. She specializes in EEG testing and monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), the hospital/ICU, and through ambulatory (at-home) EEG. Working closely with a multidisciplinary epilepsy team, she provides comprehensive evaluations and reviews all treatment options—including medications, lifestyle and safety counseling, neuromodulation devices, and epilepsy surgery when appropriate—with the goal of improving seizure control and quality of life.
As a clinician-educator, Dr. Yoo is dedicated to teaching and empowering patients and families. She takes time to explain diagnoses, EEG results, and treatment options so that patients feel informed and supported in shared decision-making. As Director of the Epilepsy Fellowship Program, she trains future epilepsy specialists and leads educational programs at Mount Sinai as well as through national and international collaborations.
Dr. Yoo also participates in multiple National Institutes of Health– and industry-funded epilepsy clinical trials, helping connect eligible patients to new and emerging therapies.

Dr. Yoo offers telemedicine appointments when appropriate. Please call her office to schedule a video visit.
The state of Florida requires out-of-state professionals who are registered to provide telehealth services to display a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health telehealth web page. This allows Florida patients who are receiving medical care by telehealth to confirm the provider’s licensure and Florida registration.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Below are financial relationships with industry reported by Dr. Yoo during 2025 and/or 2026. Please note that this information may differ from information posted on corporate sites due to timing or classification differences.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
