About Me

Dr. Menendez is a full-spectrum family medicine physician with a particular focus on reproductive, gender-affirming, and trauma-informed health care. She is the clinical director of the Institute for Family Health’s Trauma-Informed Linkage to Care Clinic, where she provides primary care to people who have experienced human trafficking, sexual assault, or other forms of sexual violence, including medical evaluation of asylum seekers. She is passionate and active in medical advocacy, particularly through the American Academy of Family Physicians, and leads the advocacy committee in the residency program. She also works at Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, where she trains residents and fellows in reproductive health procedures. Dr. Menendez enjoys teaching at the same residency program from which she graduated.
