About Me
Jiby Yohannan, MD (he/him), is an Assistant Professor of Endocrinology in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Disease in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Yohannan joined the faculty at Mount Sinai after completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Disease at Mount Sinai.
Through his training Dr. Yohannan has developed skills to effectively diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of conditions including adrenal, pituitary, thyroid, diabetes, reproductive, and bone diseases. He also is proficient in diabetes technology and counselling for weight management. Dr. Yohannan has a clinical interest in gender affirming care and will be working with the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery to establish access to gender affirming care at the Samuel’s Clinic. During his fellowship he contributed to a manuscript submitted a review paper regarding the physiologic effects of gender affirming hormone treatment to the National Academy of Sciences. He has also presented work at the national Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology meetings.
