About Me

Dr. Curcio was born in Elmhurst, New York. She is a graduate of Misericordia University and obtained her medical degree from Ross University.   Her residency in Internal Medicine was completed in the Mount Sinai- Elmhurst Hospital Center program, including a year as Executive Chief Resident.

Dr. Curcio has now spent more than 2 decades at Elmhurst Hospital as an Academic Hospitalist.  Her current roles include Chief of the Hospitalist Division, Director of Inpatient and Observation Services, and Associate Director of the Department of Medicine.

Her primary administrative interest is in continuous, sustainable systemic improvement with end goals of optimal access to care, patient experience and clinical outcomes, as well as responsible utilization of resources. This is concurrent with the goal of training Internal Medicine residents to not only be excellent clinical practitioners in their chosen areas, but to become leaders moving our health care system forward.

Dr. Curcio also serves as an Assistant Professor at the Arnhold Institute for Global Health at Mount Sinai and an Associate Professor of Medicine at St. George University.
She loves that Elmhurst Hospital is the central hub of health care for the most diverse population of patients in the world and that every day brings the opportunity to improve someone’s life.
