About Me
Dr. Joann Carcaterra has been in practice as a Family Medicine physician for over 20 years. After graduating from her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Carcaterra earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her internship and Osteopathic Family Practice residency at Long Beach Medical Center. With her certification by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Carcaterra sees and treats a wide range of patients.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai in 2015, Dr. Carcaterra spent 12 years as a family medicine physician in a practice in Hewlett. She practiced as one of three family physicians and was directly involved in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with multiple health conditions. Additionally, in her professional community, Dr. Carcaterra is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
