John Caponigro, DPM

About Me
Dr. John Caponigro earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at St. John’s University, Queens, NY. He then received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. After earning his doctorate degree, he completed a two year residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY. He completed a third year of training at Saddle Brook Surgical Center, in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, where he specialized in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Currently, Dr. Caponigro is double board certified by The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and The American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Caponigro has extensive experience in surgical correction of basic foot deformities such as bunion and hammertoes as well as surgical management of complex structural foot and ankle conditions and trauma to the foot and ankle. His clinical interests include sports medicine, trauma and preventative foot and ankle care. Dr. Caponigro is assistant director of Podiatric Medical Education at St. Mary's General Hospital, Passaic, NJ
