John Foggle, MD

About Me

John Foggle, MD, MBA, is an emergency physician with 35 years of experience as a clinician and educator. In addition to working at Mount Sinai Hospital, he also spends multiple weeks each year at the Cheyenne River Health Center in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, as part of the partnership between Mount Sinai and the Indian Health Service. Dr. Foggle is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Global Health Division at Brown University and teaches at the Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. He has served as a consultant with Project Hope, the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, and the World Health Organization, and was a Global Medical Advisor with AmeriCares. Dr. Foggle is double residency-trained at Yale in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine and received his MBA from the Yale School of Management. His expertise is in medical simulation, wilderness medicine, disaster preparedness, and international emergency medicine development. He has lectured and led medical workshops in numerous countries and on six continents, and has directed and taught trauma trainings in American Samoa, Nicaragua, Kenya, and Rwanda.
