About Me
Dr. John Kang is a physician at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients in person at 226 West 14th Street and via telehealth. His approach is evidence-based and relationship-centered, with a focus on comprehensive adult care.
He received his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from the University of Washington, earned his medical degree from New York Medical College, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, where he led several quality improvement initiatives and served as a resident representative to the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
His clinical interests include preventive care, diabetes, thyroid disorders, cardiovascular and lung disease, asthma, sleep apnea, smoking cessation, immunizations, cancer screening, and mental health support for depression and anxiety.
Dr. Kang welcomes patients from all backgrounds and speaks conversational Korean. He strives to create a respectful, inclusive space built on mutual trust and open communication. He sees patients Monday through Wednesday and Friday, and is currently accepting new patients. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, playing both stringed instruments and racquet sports, and exploring New York’s multicultural cuisines.
