About Me
Dr. John Phair has practiced Vascular Medicine since 2019. After completing his undergraduate studies at New York University, Dr. Phair graduated with his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then moved to Montefiore Medical Center for his residency in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Phair is certified in basic and advanced cardiovascular life support and specializes in aortic disease. He is also multilingual and can communicate with patients in English and conversational Mandarin and Spanish.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Phair serves as Assistant Professor of Urologic Oncology at The Icahn School of Medicine. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. He has also been a recipient of several awards from the New York Society for Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, and Society for Vascular Surgery in recognition of his research and case presentations.
Dr. Phair is an active researcher with his interests including the use of endovascular technologies to provide optimized treatment for arterial aneurysms and dissections throughout the body, along with cerebrovascular disease, vasculopathies, limb-threatening arterial insufficiency, venous disease, and dialysis access creation and maintenance. He has been published extensively in peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work at conferences throughout the US.
