About Me
Dr. Arnouk is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and while there, served as a Howard Hughes Undergraduate Research Scholar, performing clinical research during each summer. He went on to attend medical school at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn where he was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, reserved to those graduating in the top 10% of their medical class. Dr. Arnouk completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Downstate Medical Center. He served as a Chief Resident during his final year, aiding in the education and teaching of the junior residents. After his residency, Dr. Arnouk completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. While there, he trained directly with several top surgeons in the field of shoulder and knee arthroscopy and reconstruction. He also served as assistant team physician to several professional and collegiate sport teams such as the Houston Texans (NFL), Astros (MLB), Rockets (NBA), Dynamo (MLS) and the University of Houston football and basketball teams. He was also a team physician for the Pearland Oilers, who went on to win the high school 5A football state championship that year. To further specialize his training, Dr. Arnouk completed a second fellowship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in shoulder and elbow surgery. He trained under the direction of Dr. Peter McCann and Dr. Frances Cuomo, who served as the President of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society (ASES). He continued his care for athletes, serving as a physician at the New York City Marathon. During his fellowship, Dr. Arnouk was asked to stay on as staff at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Dr. Arnouk has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine and has had his research presented at several national meetings. He was rewarded the Resident Research Award twice by the Brooklyn Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Arnouk specializes in shoulder and knee arthroscopy, shoulder arthroplasty (replacement) and sports medicine. He is also trained in trauma care and in the management of fractures. He believes in educating his patients so that they know the road ahead of them and are most informed on their treatment, whether it is surgical or nonsurgical. Dr. Arnouk is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys running and basketball. He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife Amy.
