About Me
Dr. J. Luke Murphy joined Mount Sinai as a Interventional Cardiologist in 2022. After completing his undergraduate studies at Yale University, Dr. Murphy graduated with his medical degree from UPenn Perelman School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center before moving to The Mount Sinai Hospital for his fellowship in Cardiology where he served as Chief Fellow in his final year. To complete his training, Dr. Murphy remained at Mount Sinai for additional fellowships in Interventional Cardiology, where he once again served as Chief Fellow, and Endovascular Surgery. With his board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Murphy specializes in coronary artery disease treatment & prevention and peripheral arterial and peripheral venous disease.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Murphy has publications in the prestigious international journal Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions. His 2021 publications discuss intervention and management of coronary artery bifurcation lesions. Dr. Murphy is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
