Non-surgical orthopedics, sports medicine and interventional techniques are utilized to enhance functioning and quality of life. This includes the most advanced techniques using fluoroscopically guided spine procedures, epidural and facet injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty, ultrasound guided joint injections, nerve blocks and botox injections. In addition, Dr. Bax performs electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS) to better evaluate and determine the etiology of the pain. He has a special interest in regenerative medicine including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections and Stem Cell Therapies. Physical therapy and Osteopathic Manual Manipulation are also incorporated to improve outcomes. His goal in treating patients is aimed at restoring physical function by developing individualized treatment plans and working closely with all members of the spine care team.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments

The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
