About Me
Dr. Joseph Jeret has been practicing neurology for over 25 years. After completing his undergraduate education summa cum laude at Brooklyn College, Dr. Jeret graduated his medical studies with distinction in research from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He then went on to his internship in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center, before returning to SUNY Downstate for his Neurology residency program. In addition to his board certification in Neurology, Dr. Jeret is fellowship-trained in EEG and EMG/NCV neurodiagnostic studies.
Before joining Mount Sinai in 2018, Dr. Jeret was in private practice in Rockville Centre for 25 years. During his time in medicine, Dr. Jeret has provided personal care to over 20,000 patients with all aspects of neurologic illness and has presented and published over 70 peer-reviewed papers. Additionally, in recognition of his accomplishments in the field, patient care, education, board-certification, and research, Dr. Jeret has been awarded fellowship status in the American Academy of Neurology, American Heart Association, and American Stroke Association.
Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Jeret serves on the boards of multiple charitable organizations in his community. Both in medicine and in his community life, his honesty, humor, warmth, and insight have endeared him to many.
