Joe Ruggiero PhD is a clinical psychologist who graduated from Fordham University’s doctoral program. He has worked in the field of addiction for roughly twenty years. As Assistant Clinical Director of The Addiction Institute of New York, he oversees all the outpatient programs at Mount Sinai WestHospital. In addition, he is a co-founder and Director of the Crystal Clear Program which addresses the issue of methamphetamine use for gay and bisexual men. The program was initially funded by DOHMH and is the only program in NYC that specially addresses this issue. He has co-authored an article about the program and has done many talks at conferences, grand rounds, and other forums. He has made several television appearances to inform people about this concern. Lastly, he also has a private practice.
