Joshua Novak, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Henry D. Janowitz Division of Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from The University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biological Sciences. He completed his Internal Medicine Training at The University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center. He remained at Case Western and completed his Gastroenterology fellowship. He subsequently trained at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center where he completed a fellowship in Clinical Nutrition.
Dr. Novak has a special interest in nutrition and cares for patients with malnutrition, short bowel syndrome and Total Parenteral Nutrition. In addition, he also offers comprehensive care to patients with a wide variety of digestive diseases. He performs multiple nutrition related endoscopic procedures including the placement of Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy tubes, Direct Percutaneous Endoscopic jejunostomy tubes as well as routine endoscopic procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
