About Me

Josh Stieber, PhD is a psychologist at the World Trade Center Mental Health Program (WTCMHP) under the Mount Sinai Hospital/Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Stieber has emphases on psychotherapeutic treatments for trauma, chronic pain, stress and burnout, life transitions, and family/couples issues. Meditative and body-focused practices are also areas of focus.

Prior to becoming faculty at the WTCMHP, he completed training positions at the WTCMHP as well as with Elmhurst Hospital and Jamaica Hospital. Dr. Stieber completed his doctorate studies in Clinical Psychology at St. John’s University. His dissertation on psychotherapy for veterans with depression was conducted at the Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System—Manhattan Campus.

Dr. Stieber is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist and a registered out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of Florida (https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/).
