She was recruited to become the Program Director at Mount Sinai/Elmhurst in June 2021.  Her academic interests are in Curriculum Development, Palliative Care, and Quality Improvement.

Dr. Kanevsky has lectured nationally on topics such as pre-internship curriculum and bedside rounding. She has received Teaching Hospitalist of the Year Awards at both Lutheran and Montefiore. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was the recipient of Physician of Excellence Award at Elmhurst.

When not at the hospital, she can usually be found picnicking in Prospect Park or hiking in the Hudson Valley with her husband, three kids, and their pedigreed mutt Sasha.
