About Me
Justin Tay, MD is the Stroke Director of Mount Sinai Queens and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Tay attended University of Pittsburgh for medical school and internship. He then went on to complete his neurology and vascular neurology training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During his residency, he was awarded the Physician of the Year Award at Mount Sinai and Outstanding Clinical Housestaff award in 2019. In his vascular neurology training, he worked and learned the stroke systems in all of the Mount Sinai Manhattan Campuses. He was appointed the Stroke Director position at Mount Sinai Queens in 2022 and his clinical focus will be improving stroke care at Mount Sinai Queens. His goal is to make sure that Mount Sinai Queens delivers the best and strongest stroke care to our population in Astoria/Queens.
Dr. Tay also has a strong interest in residency education and has created the Emergency Room Neurohospitalist position at Mount Sinai Hospital. He will also see all neurologic patients that come to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Tay provides a wide scope of care in the emergency room, treating and diagnosing conditions such as seizures, stroke, aphasia, migraine, brain hemorrhage, myasthenia gravis, Guillain barre syndrome, spinal cord compression, vertigo and numerous other conditions.
Dr. Tay sees stroke patients at Mount Sinai Queens and Mount Sinai Hospital.
